Romeo and Juliet Cigar No. 1
The Romeo Y Juliet No. 1 is a crema, a flexible and balanced cigar, developing on aromas of exotic wood and toasted hazelnut, and will pair perfectly with tight espresso and grand dark chocolate. The Romeo y Juliet brand was founded in Havana in 1875 by two Spaniards, Inocencio Alvarez Rodriguez and José Manín García. Thirty years later, the factory was bought by José Rodríguez, known as "Don Pepin", who developed the brand significantly, particularly in the export market, going so far as to buy the Palazzo di Capuleta in Verona, where he set up a cigar shop. Romeo and Juliet Until World War II, he produced mainly figurines, cigars rolled into a point at both ends, so that anyone could have a cigar made in his name. Today Romeo y Juliet is the second most widely distributed Cuban brand in the world, after Monte Cristo.
